Day 1  : Balikpapan – Loajanan ( L D )
Arrive at Sepinngan airport in Balikpapan where a guide will greet you and assist your transfer to Loajanan for boarding the houseboat. Enroute you will stop at a pepper plantation where white and black pepper is cultivated. Upon arrival in Loajanan you will begin your cruise along the Mahakam River.

Day 2  : Muaramuntai – Tanjung Isuy – Long Iram ( B L D )
After breakfast on the boat you will visit Maramuntai, the wooden village, and continue by motorized canoe to Jempang Lake.You will pass a local fishing village along the way. Upon your arrival at Tanjung Isuy, the Dayak Banuaq tribe will welcome you with a special ceremony. In the afternoon, you will cruise on to Long Iram passing through the domain of the mystic crocodile.

Day 3  : Long – Iram – Datahbilang – Rukun Damai ( B L D )
Today you will visit Tering to observe the way of life of Dayak Bahau tribe and then continue to Databilang In this village you will meet elaborately tattooed tribesmen and visit their fascinating longhouse. Then you will proceed to Rukun Damai.

Day 4 : Rukun Damai – trekking – Long Bagun ( B L D )
In the morning, you must say goodbye to new friends and continue up river to explore the virgin rain forest. Here, you will be amazed by the spectacular scenery. In the afternoon, you will proceed to Long Bagun

Day 5  : Long Bagun – Kayaking – Melak ( B L D )
After breakfast on the boat you will enjoy a fantastic kayaking adventure in the whirling rapids of the Mahakam River. Explore unspoiled rainforest as you travel downriver Melak.

Day 6  : Melak – Eheng – Trekking ( B L D )
Today you will depart on a half-day excursion by jeep to the old communal longhouse of Eheng. Afterwards, you will have an opportunity to go trekking in rain forest with Dayak people. In the afternoon, you will proceed to Kersik and the natural black orchid forest before returning to the houseboat.

Day 7  : Tenggarong - Loajanan - Samboja - Balikpapan ( B L D )
After breakfast you will spend the morning touring Tenggarong with visits to the local market, the royal cemetery, and the Sultan’s Palace. From there you will cruise back to Loajanan and continue to Balikpapan by mnibus. On the way, you will stop at Sambodja to visit to the orangutan health center. You will spend the night in a nearby hotel.

Day 8  : Hotel – Airport ( B )
It’s hard to say goodbye to Kalimantan, but what memories you’ll take home!
