DAY 1. PANGKALAN
BUN - TANJUNG HARAPAN (D)
Upon arrival at
Iskandar Airport of Pangkalan Bun, meeting service and transfer
to Kumai to boat motorboat crising up to Sekonyer river. Along the
river you can enjoy the beautiful flora & fauna, like birds, monkeys,
gibbons, and other wonderful cretures of Borneo. Overnight at Rimba
Lodge.
DAY 2. PONDOK
TANGGUI - CAMP LEAKEY (BLD)
After breakfast
leaving the lodge to visit Pondok Tanggui, an Orang Utan rehabilitation
Centre up Sekonyer
River, the proceed to Camp Leakey, research and rehabilitation
centre of the Orang
Utan. Trekking through the tropical flora, searching for the wild
orang utan, birds, agile gibbons and other premature. Afternoon
return to Kumai for overnight at hotel.
DAY 3. KUMAI
- PALANGKARAYA (BLD)
After breakfast
transfer to the airport for flight to Palngkaraya. Upon arrival
transfer to hotel for overnight.
DAY 4. PALANGKARAYA
- KASONGAN - TUMBANG MANGGO (B)
After breakfast,
by car to kasongan about 1,5 hours, from from here we cruise up
to Katingan River to Tumbang manggo ( stop over in Tumbang Samba
). Meals enroute, overnight at Dwima Guest House.
DAY 5. TUMBANG
MANGGO FOREST OBSERVATION (BLD)
After breakfast
by jeep over logging road about 60 km, to visit the research station
of forest & plantations. Afterwards explore the tropical rain forest,
overnight in tent.
DAY 6. TO CAMP
MARUNYAI - TUMBANG MANGGO (BLD)
After breakfast,
continue trek in the dense jungle to reach the road, continue by
car to camp Marunyai to see the logging activity. Afterwards return
to Tumbang Manggo for overnight at Dwina Guest House .
DAY 7. TUMBANG
ATAI EXPLORATION (BLD)
By klotok upstream
the river to Tumbang Atai Village. where the old kaharingan tradition
& culture of Dayak tribe is still intact. In the afternoon return
to Guest House in the Tumbang Manngo
DAY 8. TUMBANG
MANGGO - PALANGKARAYA (BLD)
After breakfast
by speed boat to Kasongan to continue by car to Palangkaraya, meals
enroute, overnight at hotel.
DAY 8. TUMBANG
MANGGO - PALANGKARAYA (B)
After breakfast cruise Sekonyer River to Kumai. Arrive at Kumai
transfer to the airport where you can find your onward flight.
